My story

One year old, 30ish pound Snooki is a very sweet pup looking for a very special adopter. She LOVES other dogs and gets along with pups of all ages and sizes. She has a nice moderate energy level, she's smart, and she's also treat motivated. Snooki came from a very sad situation where she was born to a completely unsocialized dog and as a puppy she was fed by an elderly neighbor but no one ever picked her up and handled her. She has been in foster care for about two months now and has made a great deal of progress. She is happy to get treats from her foster mom but is still very wary. She loves to play with other dogs and she will continue to blossom in a home where she has a friendly, confident dog to show her the ropes. Snooki is looking for a fairly calm household and a family or person that will be patient as she continues to learn that not only are people great treat dispensers, but are also a good source of love, affection, and pets. While it does take some patience, there really isn't anything much more rewarding that earning the love of a shy dog and finding that you've become their person. If your household sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you. Snooki is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
