My story

ABOUT KODAK Looking for a social, playful pup? Come meet Kodak! This goofy guy came to HAP when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Despite being in the shelter, he is a happy-go-lucky pup, eager to make new friends! Kodak has thrived participating in our Doggy Day Out program, where volunteers spend the day with him outside of the shelter. Here's what they had to say about him: "I had such a delightful morning at White Clay with sweet little Kodak! He is SO well behaved, especially given that he's only a few months old. He wanted to say hello to everyone we passed on the trail, including other dogs. He wasn't too keen on splashing around in the creek but he definitely enjoyed sniffing all the things and especially carrying around all the special sticks he found. After our walk we went to PetSmart, where he enthusiastically picked out a highland cow crinkle toy, and he traded kisses with the tiniest little floofy puppy who was even younger than him. He was a perfect gentleman from start to finish. This sweet, wonderful boy is absolutely going to be the love of someone's life. 12/10 highly recommend." - Emily "We had such a lovely time taking Kodak today. He was super well behaved, and very chill for a puppy. He listened to both of us. We started our day by letting him pick out a toy at the pet store. We then took him home, where he loved chasing the ball in our back yard. We then let him inside our home where he met my elderly father, and then plopped down next to him and chilled. Then we took him for a walk with lots of rests in the shade and water breaks at the park by our house. He was great with the neighborhood kids who wanted to pet him. He loved all the belly rubs. Finally, he took a nap at our house. He was so chill in our car for the car ride where he instantly laid down right in front of the AC vent in the back. Lovely doggo, and hope he finds a great family." - Joe If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kodak, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
