My story

Luger, our lively and energetic long-legged friend, is almost 2 years old and neutered. He's ready to blossom in a new home where he'll receive the love, care, and attention he craves. Luger's past experiences have taught him to be selective around male dogs, but he's shown to be good with females and smaller males. With gentle and proper introductions, he'll learn to feel at ease around new canine friends. Although his interactions with cats have been limited, he's eager to learn that they're companions, not prey. This intelligent and enthusiastic boy loves to please his human family and would excel in any level of training. He needs a job to keep him engaged, entertained, and exercised, both physically and mentally. Luger is learning to crate, and with patience and consistency, he'll master this skill. He's also learning to manage his separation anxiety. Luger will benefit from a slow feeder during meal times as he gets a little too excited for meal time. As he grows and learns, Luger will flourish with an owner who provides structure, boundaries, love, and support. No small children, no experience only with older teenage kids. Can you offer this affectionate and loving boy a safe and healthy home where he'll thrive? This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN.
