My story

Meet Sophie, a petite and gentle Doberman with a tender heart and a shy soul. Estimated to be just over a year and a half old, Sophie came to DRM as a stray in Kansas alongside Ember and Pearl. She’s still learning that the world is a safe place, and while she may be skittish with new people and dogs at first, once she feels secure, her playful and loving personality shines through. Sophie adores stuffed toys, chew bones, and especially playing with her best foster buddy, a miniature pinscher. She’s fully house-trained, respectful when left alone, and happiest curled up on the couch while you’re away. Though she’s still working on basic training and building trust, she’s making steady progress each day. Sophie does best in a calm home with a fenced yard and patient people who can help her blossom into the confident, happy girl she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to grow with and love fiercely, Sophie is waiting to find her safe place with you! This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN.
