My story

Animal Profile:  Meet Betty - her mom Mona  was a stray in a TX neighborhood and a good samaritan had been feeding her, She dug into her yard and had puppies under their shed. The family reached out to our rescue partner Animal Advocacy for help and she and her 5 babies were taken into a foster home. All are doing well, are happy and healthy waiting for their freedom ride to the PNW. Foster Update: Say hello to Betty! She’s tiny (under 2lbs!), soft as can be, and has zero idea how small she actually is. Betty is playful, super affectionate, and fully believes she’s the main character wherever she goes. She spends her days stealing the cat’s toys (the cat is still deciding if she’s a dog or a very bold rodent), chasing around the 80lb Doberman like it’s nothing, and handing out kisses to anyone licking distance. She loves the kids in her foster home. Betty climbs into the toddler’s lap for gentle pets and follows the 5-year-old like a loyal sidekick. We’re guessing she’s got some poodle or Maltese in the mix — her coat looks wirey but feels sooo soft, and she doesn’t shed. Betty’s going to be a tiny, fearless, loving little light for one lucky family. Just don’t tell her she’s small — she’s convinced she runs the place. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Animal Advocacy in Texas and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 7/07/25. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.July 11, 2025, 6:03 pm
