My story

Come and meet me at our Super Adoption Saturday event - Saturday, 7/12 from 10:30am - 1:30pm at Canine Therapy Corps - 3918 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL - no appointment or application needed. Akeyla is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Akeyla is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Akeyla: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She is not yet comfortable with being home alone, and can become distressed. She will need to work on this once in her new home! Leash walking: Doing well overall! Dog social: She lives with a resident dog in her foster home and has been doing well overall, but has shown some mild resource guarding behavior with high-value items Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Akeyla likes: - Going for walks and car rides - Giving you little kisses - Enjoying a nice Kong or yak cheese chew Akeyla is the sweetest girl who always greets with gentle kisses and takes treats like an angel. Her long fluffy tresses are like petting a cloud and we do not think there is a dog in existence with a softer head to scritch. She has done well in living with another dog, though can be protective of extra-special treats, so this will need to be managed if adopted into a home with another dog. She is also working on being comfy when home solo, and would love a patient adopter who can help her work on this! Akeyla's adoption fee is $300, and she is ready to love on her future family!
