My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mac is ready to find his new home!  Mac came to us from Texas where he and his brother Copper Top were surrendered to a shelter.  They are JRT mixes, probably with Chihuahua and estimated to be about 2 years old and weigh 12 pounds.   Meet Mac, a playful and happy boy who absolutely loves to play ball with his foster mom—it's his favorite thing in the world! He’s a champ at fetch, eagerly bringing the ball back. If his throws aren’t up to par, don’t worry; he’ll find someone else to join in the fun! While he enjoys all kinds of toys, the squeaky ones usually don’t stand a chance. Mac is all about people! He’s definitely a lap dog and loves being close to his humans, whether that means joining them on the couch or snuggling by their feet. He’s super affectionate, giving out plenty of kisses and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Not only is Mac a sweetheart, but he’s also a little watchdog. He’ll let you know if someone’s at the door or near the fence. In his fully fenced yard, he loves to soak up the sun. He gets along great with other dogs, especially the smaller ones. At home, he lives with a big dog and enjoys showing her that he’s the boss—playfully, of course! He might have barked at the cats when he first arrived, but he’s now perfectly fine with them. Mac is doing wonderfully with his training! He’s crate-trained and just started learning to walk on a leash; he’s picking it up like a pro! He’s also making fantastic progress with house training, having only a few accidents. Just remember, he may need a little time to adjust to new routines and any changes in the weather. Overall, he’s a loving and playful companion waiting to share his joy with you! We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security. Mac is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had a ProHeart injection which takes care of his hw prevention for one year.  His adoption fee is $450Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2025, 9:54 am
