Currently being fostered in Washington,DC Meet Robbie – The Plush Teddy Bear of Your Dreams With his soft, velvety coat and heart-melting gaze, Robbie is the kind of dog you can’t help but pet - and once you do, you may never want to stop. This big, goofy, lovable guy is like a living teddy bear who adores affection, snuggles, and belly rubs. Personality Robbie is incredibly friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets. He’ll lean in for pets, offer his big ol’ head for scritches, and will happily melt into your arms like the oversized plush toy he resembles. He thrives on love and attention and doesn’t mind one bit if you can’t keep your hands off him - he prefers it that way. He's sweet, a little goofy, and always down to hang with his humans. Energy Level He has a classic moderate energy level - always happy to play but also content to relax nearby once he’s had his fun. Like many Labs, Robbie is all about balance: zoomies in the yard or at the park followed by a good nap on your couch (or ideally, your lap, if he could fit). His absolute favorite game? Tennis ball fetch! Or really, any ball - squeaky, rubber, fuzzy, it doesn’t matter. He’s your go-to guy for a good game and will joyfully trot back for another round. Skills and Training - Food and treat motivated – learns quickly when snacks are involved - Working on potty training – has had a few accidents, but with consistency and guidance, he’s on the right path - Knows how to entertain himself and is good with toys - Adjusts quickly to new routines Companionship Robbie loves humans and truly thrives when he's part of the action. He’s a joyful presence in any home and would enjoy having a family, couple, or individual who includes him in daily activities. He’s curious, loving, and would benefit from continued training and structure to help him flourish. He may not realize how big he is sometimes—he's got that adorable "bull in a china shop" charm, but he’s gentle at heart and never short on love. Love and Affection Robbie is the definition of a snuggle bug. He loves affection as much as he loves a tennis ball (and that’s saying a lot). When you look into those eyes or feel the softness of his plush-like coat, it’s impossible not to fall head over heels. He's the dog you find yourself smiling at across the room and reaching out to pet every time he walks by. Robbie doesn’t just want to be a dog in your house—he wants to be your dog.
