My story

Hi my name is Daisy! Not long ago, I was wandering the roads, skinny and thirsty, my body still healing after giving birth to twelve puppies just weeks earlier. I was exhausted, trying to find food—not just for me, but for them. A kind stranger found me and traced me back to where I’d been staying with my babies. My owner cared about me, but they didn’t have the means to keep us safe, fed, or healthy. So, I had been slipping away, trying to survive on my own. That’s when everything changed. A wonderful foster stepped up and brought me and my puppies into her home. Sadly, three of my babies didn’t make it, but the six that remain are thriving now. As for me? I finally started gaining weight, getting proper meals, and feeling love for the first time in a long time. I’ve since been spayed and am officially part of the Pets Lifeline family! But… I have a lot of energy. So much so that I can’t be with my puppies anymore—it’s time for them to grow up, and time for me to be a dog again. I’m still just a pup myself—barely over a year old! I’m smart, too! I know how to sit, lay down, shake, and stay. I just need a little more training and a family who can keep up with my playful, energetic spirit. I would thrive with someone active—someone who loves walks, hikes, or just running around in the backyard with a bouncy best friend. I’ve been through a lot, but my heart is still full of love and hope. I’m ready for my fresh start. Could that be with you?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Daisy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
