My story

Hi there, I’m Oona 💜 Not long ago, I found myself at a big, noisy shelter in Contra Costa. I was scared, shut down, and not ready to meet the world—so much so that I wasn’t available for adoption yet. But then something amazing happened… another shelter saw my spark and gave me a second chance. That shelter is Pets Lifeline. Since arriving here, I’ve been settling in and slowly but surely coming out of my shell. The people here are so kind and patient. They give me treats, belly rubs, and tell me I’m a very good girl (which, let’s be honest, I totally am). I’ve started learning basic commands like sit and stay, and I’m finding that I really enjoy learning. Especially when snacks are involved! I’m looking for a home that understands I might need a little time to warm up—but once I do, I’ll give you my whole heart. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances and gentle encouragement, I think we’d make a great match. Can we meet soon? I think I’m ready to find my person. 🐾
