Wren was found in a carrier weak and very thin... with six kittens to care for. Thankfully foster homes stepped up to help Wren with her babies. She was too weak to care for them. Shelter volunteers took care of Wren, hand feeding her until she was healthy again. Once feeling well, we began to see Wren's beautiful personality emerge. She is a gentle young cat who loves to reach out her paw for attention. We learned Wren suffers from dental disease though she is quite young. Her previous adopter was not prepared to see Wren through the appropriate treatment. Nonprofit group Pound Pals Downriver is funding her first dental surgery this month, though Wren will be available to go to a responsible home soon after. Wren deserves a real hero. * AGE: 1-2 years old * TEMPERAMENT: Gentle and likes to chirp * Why are they at the shelter? Left abandoned in a carrier with her kittens * Any Health issues? None known * How are they with other cats? Dogs? gets along well with other animals * Volunteer Comments? "Such a sweet girl. Reaches out for attention from the volunteers."
