My story

Pork Chop has been living in a foster home but is at our shelter to meet starting Thursday, July 10th! Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Scroll through his pictures to see his cute videos! Pork Chop is an adorable little pup who was found by a couple of good samaritans running around a Walmart parking lot. These nice people took Pork Chop in, made sure he was scanned for a chip, and posted flyers. After two weeks, they concluded that he was likely dumped and started to contact rescues about taking him in. One of our fosters knew the finders so offered to foster Pork Chop herself. Pork Chop has been in his foster home for a few weeks, where he lives with a cat and two dogs. Pork Chop is used to spending his foster mom's workdays in his play pen, and is very good for a puppy about not having accidents inside. His foster mom says that he is easygoing and amazing with all animals- including chickens! And he brings that same sweet energy to his interactions with all humans, including kids. Of course, Pork Chop is still a puppy with his little puppy teeth that he uses to explore the world, but other than the typical puppy stuff that anyone should expect he is really such a great and easy little guy. His foster mom writes, "Meet Pork Chop, a playful puppy around 5 months old. He is a "love bomb" kind of dog: he loves any living thing he meets and wants to make sure you know it. He loves his puppy naps next to you or in your lap, land he loves toys-- every toy is his favorite toy. He is a great leash walker (once you can get him to stop wiggling and put on his harness!). He is very "go with the flow" and will make a great companion and playmate. Pork Chop also listens well especially when told not to do something, i.e. trying to play with the chickens...!" We cannot believe someone ever gave him up, but we know his future is looking so bright! We hope you will come and meet this adorable and deserving little guy. Pork Chop’s adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered and is up to date on core vaccines. He will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
