My story

Say hello to Simon, a beautiful and sweet boy who is estimated to be 2 1/2 years old. Simon was rescued from the brutal outdoor heat recently by a good Samaritan and brought to the emergency veterinarian to have an abscess at the base of his tail treated then surrendered to our rescue. He has recovered beautifully from his procedure and is ready to find his forever home. Simon was a bit standoffish when he first arrived but quickly became a sweetheart who loves petting and attention. He's a big, heavy guy at around 14 lbs. He doesn't seem super thrilled about other cats in his space, however he has gotten used to them and spends his time peacefully watching them from the cage he feels safe in. It may be possible to slowly acclimate him to other cats in the home, but it is likely to be a slow, careful process. His reaction to dogs is unknown, however with a slow introduction it may work. He is a peaceful, non-aggressive guy so he should be fine with respectful children. Simon is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative and vaccinated. All cats adopted from our rescue must remain indoor-only pets and must never be declawed. If you have room in your heart and home, please apply to adopt at packleadersrescue.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Simon in CT, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
