My story

Although Lily can take up to a week or more to decompress and begin to trust, she's well worth the wait and as the saying goes:  patience is a virtue.  Once she trusts,  Lily is pure joy - affectionate, easy-going and full of beans.    She’s bouncy and fearless and up for any new adventure. She loves walks, car rides, visits - basically she’s just thrilled to be a part of whatever is going on. She is a 7 year old spayed female who weighs approximately 10 pounds    She’s good with dogs of all sizes and enjoys the challenge of getting a game going.   Her hobbies include sitting on laps, napping and exploring. She'll spend an hour patrolling and sniffing the garden in search of anything new and exciting or intruders that may be lurking in the shadows.   Lily is completely housebroken and will use a pad when it’s available.   As noted above, Lily takes time to engage with people preferring  to sit back and observe for a while before making a commitment. Like many chihuahuas, she needs to feel safe and loved before putting her eggs in someone's basket.  If you feel you are the right match, please fill out an application for Lily's basket:  https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/dog-adoption-application-2/  July 8, 2025, 7:14 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lily, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
