My story

Meet Alpha, a spirited 2-year-old Cairn terrier/wire hair terrier mix. This little bundle of energy weighs in at 17lbs and packs a big personality!  Neutered and ready for adventure, Alpha gets along great with other dogs and is sure to bring a spark to any playdate. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Alpha is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. With his rugged wire haired coat and terrier charm, Alpha is sure to capture hearts and bring energy to any adventure. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
