My story

Sparky is a beautiful work in progress-an expressive boy who's learning that the world isn't so scary when kind people (and playful pups) are by your side.In his kennel, Sparky can get a bit frustrated when he sees other dogs walk by, which can make him seem intense at first. But out in the yard, we saw another side of him. During a gentle introduction with a friendly dog named Winnie, Sparky seemed almost surprised that he was allowed to engage. With her calm and playful invitations, he slowly opened up-and soon, he was happily joining in and enjoying the moment.Winnie read him well and had no hesitation around him, which gave Sparky the confidence to relax and have fun. It was a lovely first meeting, and we'll continue helping Sparky build on these positive experiences.He may need a little extra time to settle in and feel safe, but Sparky is showing us he's capable of growth, connection, and joy.
