My story

Meet Woppie, a 4-year-old female pup with a fun-loving spirit and just the right amount of spunk! At only 35 lbs, she's a great size for a variety of living situations-including apartments-but don't let her small frame fool you. Woppie is an active girl who would love a home where she can go on walks, jogs, or have some mental enrichment to keep her busy.During her first doggie playgroup, she was a little snarky at the fence, but once she was in the yard, her shy and sweet side shown through. She's a bit submissive at first, but she's already shown she can juggle playing with two dogs at once! While she is still warming up to full-on play, with a little patience, she'll be "woppin'" right into your heart in no time. With medium energy, a love for treats (which she takes gently), and a solid "sit" already in her toolkit, Woppie is smart, food-motivated, and ready to keep learning. If you're looking for a fun, trainable, and perfectly portable companion to join you on life's outings, Woppie is your girl!Although she is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Woppie 260419".She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Black Weight: 42 Age: 4yrs 3mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Woppie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
