My story

Maxi is a sweet girl who's full of love and ready to share it! This "happy gal" has quickly become a volunteer favorite thanks to her affectionate nature and soft, snuggly side. Described as a total cuddle bug, she adores being close to her people and brings quiet comfort wherever she goes.She's also a joy on the leash-no pulling, no reactivity when passing other dogs, and she takes treats with the gentleness of a true lady. Whether you're going for a peaceful walk or settling in for a cozy evening, Maxi will be right by your side with calm, loving energy.Maxi likes to take things slow and steady, and that includes making new dog friends. During her very first playgroup, she was polite and respectful, more interested in exploring the yard than jumping into the action. But on her second go, she started to dabble in the fun-circling and exchanging sweet playbows with her new buddy, Frodo. It was heartwarming to see her begin to come out of her shell. We think she might be a "gentle and dainty" type who just needs a little time and the right companion to show her true playstyle.Although she is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious.
