Female, DSH, 1 year old Personality: calm, friendly, lapcat, snuggly Meet Mabel, a tortie treasure with a heart of gold! Mabel is a calm, loving soul who lives for lap time and quiet companionship. From the moment she entered her foster home, Mabel made it clear she’s a people-cat through and through. She hopped up onto a lap the first morning and hasn’t looked back since. Mabel is a low-key, loyal sidekick who will greet you with soft meows and affectionate nuzzles. Mabel thrives in a quiet environment where she can be your one and only. Her favorite hobbies include napping, getting chin scratches, and enjoying a good scratching post or comfy bed. She's still figuring out which toys she likes best, but one thing’s for sure—she knows how to love her human. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who will nuzzle her way into your heart (and your lap), Mabel is the one. She's got perfect litter box manners, a calm and friendly demeanor, and so much love to give. Give Mabel the cozy, people-filled forever home she deserves—she’s ready to be your snuggle buddy for life! ______________________ If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of cats needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-cat.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCKR. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines, as age appropriate. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. The kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes a veterinary exam, deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mabel (16632), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
