My story

Orchid is at our Everyday Adoption Center (1101 S Canal St). You can visit our Everyday Adoption Center at any time during open hours, no appointment needed. Fill out our quick adoption survey on our website before visiting to streamline the process. Orchid is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Orchid is still receiving the core puppy vaccine series and will need one additional vaccine after adoption to reach full immunization Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Orchid: Housebroken: Working on it! With a strict schedule and routine, she will catch on in no time Crate trained: Working on it! She has not yet been left at home alone much, so will likely need to keep working on this once in her new home. Leash walking: Doing well so far, and working on building up her confidence! Dog social: She’s done well in meeting a quiet, gentle dog on leash. She has seemed curious but cautious when meeting other dogs and seems most comfortable with chill dog pals. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Orchid likes: - Playing fetch with her squeaky ball - Learning new things in exchange for tasty snacks - Being with her person Orchid is such a sweet girl, and the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and playful puppy energy. She loves to follow you around and soak up all the attention and belly rubs, but will also entertain herself with her toys or settle down for a nap at your feet. She has a great appetite, and with some treats and praise, she picks up things super quickly! Orchid will do best with an adopter who is ready for all the stages that puppyhood and being an adolescent brings. OTAT requires that all dogs 6 months and under be enrolled in a positive reinforcement training program within 2 weeks of their adoption at their adopter's expense. Orchid's adoption fee is $350, and this beautiful girl is excited to grow up in her forever home! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ * Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org *

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Orchid, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
