My story

Double the dachshunds, double the love! Meet Melo and Kobe, an adorable bonded pair of senior Dachshunds looking for a forever home together. Kobe is about 14 years old and 14 pounds, and Melo is around 13 years old and 10 pounds—but don’t let their ages fool you! These two are full of personality and have plenty of love to give. Melo is the more mellow of the pair. He’s sweet, calm, and absolutely loves belly rubs and cuddling—whether snuggling with Kobe or curling up with his humans. He enjoys the company of other dogs, walks well on a leash, and is always up for a cozy nap. Melo has a sensitive tummy, so he appreciates a little care with treats and food. Kobe is a spunky little lady who still has lots of pep in her step! She’s playful, affectionate, and loves attention. She may be older, but you’d never know it by her energy. She’s also quite the little explorer, so anything she shouldn’t get into needs to be kept out of reach! Kobe loves belly rubs, cuddles, and lounging around with her best buddy, Melo. Together, these two are the ultimate snuggle buddies. They both love walks, belly rubs, and being close to their people. They are house-trained, puppy pad trained, and travel well in the car. They bark occasionally and shed just a little, but mostly they’re laid-back, loving companions who enjoy the simple things—snuggling, strolling, and snoozing. Melo & Kobe are ready to bring double the joy to a home that will cherish them as much as they’ll adore you. They’d love a calm, cozy home where they can continue their golden years together, soaking up all the love they can get.
