Hera

My story

My Greek mythology name is Hera, but my foster mom mostly calls me Mama or Mamacita. I was found abandoned in a park in a box with my kittens. Even then, I trusted people enough to ask everyone who passed by for help. After I was rescued it was clear that I was a loving and attentive mother and also very trusting and appreciative of my foster mom. After I got to know her, I started getting in her lap on the sofa and snuggling. I love to be petted, and sometimes I like to show her how much I care by rubbing my face on her chin. It took a couple of weeks to get to that point, but deep down I am a people cat and after I learn I can trust. I will be the most loyal and loving cat you could possibly hope for. One of the things I really love is wet food. Before I was rescued in the park, I didn’t know what the sound of a can being opened meant because I had never had that before. Now I do and it is one of the highlights of my day! I would appreciate a home that would give me this yummy food now that I have come to love it so much. But the thing I love the most, even more than canned cat food, is to sleep in your lap. My favorite thing to do is wait for you to sit on the sofa and then slowly step into your lap and curl up purring.
