My story

*We know that photos can be enticing, but please carefully read the dog's bio to understand their personality and needs. Hi, my name is Solia! I'm a 4 year old, 62 pound lover girl that cherishes cuddles and affection. I have a very happy demeanor...you'll often catch me smiling at you. And I will always greet you at the door, tail wagging, when you come home. I love the outdoors, and would make a wonderful adventure companion. Going on walks is one of my favorite pastimes, and I have absolutely loved going on neighborhood jogs with my foster parents. I'm also super good on car rides, so take me with you on that hike you've been planning! While I'm full of excitement and energy on outdoor adventures (watch out, SQUIRREL!), I'm very relaxed indoors. I love to chill around the house and tend to be pretty quiet. I'm still a German Shepherd girl at heart though, so my instinct is to keep watch over the house. If there is unfamiliar activity outside, or an unfamiliar person visits, I may bark a little to alert my people. But I easily go back to relaxing afterwards. And I make friends easily with humans or other dogs. I have very much enjoyed the company of other dogs in my home and have also lived with a cat, so I'd be happy to live with other animal friends. Fun fact about me though: I can get a little overstimulated if I'm around a small creature in the home (say, the size of a chihuahua) and that little critter is wild or rambunctious. What can I say -- I just like friends with chill personalities! So if you're thinking I might be a good match, it would be best if any other animals in the home are medium to large in size, or have very relaxed personalities if very small in size.  Well, that's all for now. I can't wait to find my forever home!  Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $380.  I'm being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually or in person. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueJuly 8, 2025, 8:34 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Solia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
