My story

Meet Allie. Allie joined the NorCal family when she was found as a stray and ended up in a Sacramento Shelter. Allie is a beautiful, female, English cocker, approximately 8 yrs of age. She has excellent manners, responds promptly to gentle correction and is eager to please. Allie is what we like to call a "velcro" dog. She wants to be with her person at all times, showers them with love and attention and desires to do what they ask of her. She is smart and learns quickly. Allie sleeps through the night, at the foot of your bed and often rolls over on her back, with complete trust that the world is safe. Allie loves to go on walks and rides quietly and easily in the car. Allie went hiking recently and loved all the new smells of the forest. She walks well on a leash and confidently dipped her feet into a lake and with a little bit of a "butt boost", she jumped over a log. Allie gets along well with other dogs, but can be possessive of her owner. She would be just as happy to be an only dog. She will be her best self in a home with a decent size yard to roam around and someone that can be home with her the majority of the time. She does have some separation anxiety, but does not bark. She is a little bit skittish and will startle easily at times. Allie is happy to snuggle with you on the couch and can be mellow and calm, as long as she is near her person. Allie has been fully vetted and has a clean bill of health. It is important to continue to keep her ears clean. When Allie finds her forever home, her new family will be as grateful to find her as she will be to have found them. If you are interested in Allie, please go on our website at norcalcockerrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Allie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
