Dora

My story

Dora is a super sweet and affectionate pup who’s around 3 to 4 years old, and honestly, she’s pretty amazing. She has that classic Boxer energy—playful, curious, and full of life—but she also has a calm, laid-back side that makes her easy to relax with at the end of the day. Dora is great with other animals, especially cats and most male dogs. She tends to prefer male dogs over females, but she’s generally friendly and easygoing with everyone she meets. Dora’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—she was found on a busy roadway, which was scary for her, and was picked up by animal control. Thankfully, she’s now safe and healthy at the shelter, waiting patiently for her forever family to come and bring her home. Since arriving, Dora has really grown in confidence and trust, especially around new people. At first, she was a little shy and unsure, but now she’s much more outgoing and eager to make friends. She’s a smart girl who already knows most of her basic commands, like sit, lie down, and place. She has excellent recall and even listens off-leash when in a safe area. Dora is also very well-behaved on a leash and enjoys her walks around town, taking everything in with a curious but calm attitude. Because she’s had some training with her previous owners, she’s not only obedient but also eager to please, which makes her a joy to work with. Dora would do best in a home with older kids who understand her Boxer energy and can appreciate her playful but gentle nature. She’s ready to find a family who will love her, keep her active, and give her the patience and care she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s smart, friendly, and just waiting for someone to give her a second chance, Dora might just be the perfect fit.
