My story

At 65 pounds of pure charm, Scooby is a handsome, playful pup with a heart as big as his paws. Originally named by shelter staff who adored him, Scooby was a favorite from the start. Still, he waited patiently for his second chance until a wonderful team helped him make his way to a loving foster home. Now, Scooby is thriving! He’s enjoying soft beds, tasty treats, and the company of resident dogs. He’s very food-motivated, which makes training easier—and he's already doing great with his obedience work. He walks nicely on a leash and loves his daily strolls. Scooby is affectionate and loves being near his people. While he knows he’s too big to be a lap dog, he occasionally forgets. He’ll gently rest his head in your lap with those soulful eyes encouraging some head and ear rubs. He’s also a big fan of toys—he’ll entertain himself happily or play fetch with you for added fun. Scooby gets the occasional case of the zoomies, which are always fun to watch, but due to his size and energy bursts, a home with children over 10 would be ideal. If you’re ready to add a loyal, loving, and playful companion to your family, Scooby just might be the one for you. If you are interested in this sweet boy, please complete an application at 1luckydogrescue.org or contact foster mom Nancy at nancymoore016@gmail.com for more info.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Scooby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
