My story

Say hello to SJ – the brave explorer with a heart of gold. SJ’s journey started the same way as her brother AJ’s—with a dramatic rescue mission under a subfloor. When a woman brought two kittens to the shelter and told us two more were stuck beneath her home, not even the fire department could reach them. But with a pool net, a lot of determination, and a little bit of luck, our team was able to pull SJ and AJ to safety. She was weak and sick, but SJ had the spirit of a survivor. Now she’s healthy, strong, and ready to take on the world. SJ is still incredibly sweet and affectionate—she loves people—but she’s a bit more independent than her brother. She’s curious and adventurous, always the first to explore new corners and climb to the highest spot in the room. While she enjoys cuddles, she’s just as happy entertaining herself with a good toy or surveying her kingdom from a cat tree. Fully vetted and full of personality, SJ is looking for a home where she can be her confident, loving, and slightly mischievous self.
