My story

WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Diggity! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Best estimate is around 10 years old in mid-2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am currently 28 pounds, but I’m working on my summer body and will soon be lean and fit! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? My coat is black with a white chest and a distinguished graying muzzle. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat my kibble, but I stay away from beef and chicken because it makes my tummy hurt. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a low-key, gentle guy. If you want to play tug-of-war with the rope or toss a ball with me, I would love to play with you! But then it’s definitely nap time! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I love eating my breakfast and then going out for a potty break. Then I want to go on a short walk, and come back for a nap. After nap time comes play time with either my foster brother and sister or my foster parents. A little tug-of-war or chasing the ball before my afternoon nap. You get the idea. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love my stuffed tiger! I’m not a rip it up kind of guy, so my toys tend to last a long time….but I’m also not opposed to the idea of getting new toys every time you go to the pet store. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I sit, come, stay…the basics, yknow? But my favorite trick is rolling on my back and convincing my foster parents to rub my belly. They fall for it EVERY TIME! HAHAHA! WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m not afraid of anything (if you yell boo at me when I come around the corner, I will definitely be startled though!) I am pretty calm, so I don’t necessarily like a chaotic environment. I’m just a go with the flow chill kind of guy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? Kids are cool, as long as they respect that I only want to play a little bit and then rest. I tend to go into my crate if things get too chaotic though, so kids aren’t a big deal. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I have not met a cat yet, but if they are anything like the squirrels that run along the fence in my back yard, they won’t bother me at all. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like other dogs. However, I prefer to be around lower energy dogs. If they’ve got more energy than I do, I’m fine to chill by myself and watch the shenanigans from a distance. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I’ve been all over the world as part of the military- Guam, Japan, and Germany to name a few places. I’m really looking forward to settling down on a couch with my mom or dad. Give me a yard to wander, a park to play in and that is a perfect set up. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? At 10 years old, I am in great health! My legs are getting stronger as my tummy is getting smaller. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster dads, and their two Frenchies, Frank and Phoebe. My closest companion is probably my foster brother, Frank. He’s chill, likes to nap as much as I do, and we follow each other around a lot. My foster dads are both great too, but they might see this so I can’t show them I have a favorite. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? While everyone is at work, I am waiting patiently in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my own bed in my crate, unless my dads are home. Then it at their feet or picked up and put on the couch or on my blankets in their room. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I’m great on a leash. I don’t tug or pull at all! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT-SO-GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I think I’m perfect, so the answer would be no! I do occasionally bark when my foster sister barks or if I need to go outside and the doggy door is shut. But that can’t be considered a not-so-great habit! I’m communicating like a good boy! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am house trained! I occasionally have accidents if I’m left in my crate too long while my dads are at work, but when given the option, I will choose to go outside for potty. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m no Olympic swimmer if that’s what you mean, but I am good with baths and I have so much fun chasing the water out of the hose. I’m a Frenchie, which means that I am not built for water activities. Safety first, please! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They are patient, kind and caring. They gave me time to settle in, encouraged my healthy habits and gave me full access to a backyard! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? Like I said before, I was active duty military so I had an exciting life and traveled the world.
