My story

Meet Annabelle – A Spunky, Sweet Poodle Mix Looking for Her Person Quick Facts: Breed: Poodle Mix Age: 1.5 years Weight: 8 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Dog selective – may do well with a very submissive female dog Good with Cats: Barks at cats – may be fine with a confident, respectful cat Good with Kids: Not tested Energy Level: Medium – playful but also enjoys relaxing by your side Fence Required: No Special Traits: Resource guards food and people; has some separation anxiety Why You’ll Love Annabelle: Small and sweet with big personality Crate trained and housebroken Enjoys hanging out at your feet or snuggled close Great on a leash and enjoys walks Shows signs of blossoming with structure and guidance Intelligent and eager for routine About Annabelle’s Breed Mix: As a poodle mix, Annabelle has the intelligence, charm, and loyalty characteristic of her breed. Poodles are known for being smart, loving, and responsive to training—and Annabelle is already showing great potential. She will thrive in a calm, structured environment where she can learn boundaries and build confidence. Annabelle’s Story & Personality: Annabelle is a petite pup with a big heart and a little sass. She hasn’t had much structure in her past, so she’s still learning the rules of home life—but she’s already housebroken, crate trained, and doing beautifully with leash walks. This little lady can be possessive of her person and food, which means she’s best suited as the only dog or with a submissive, calm canine companion (preferably female). With time, training, and a consistent routine, her resource guarding is expected to improve. She also has a touch of separation anxiety and may whine when you leave, but she settles with time. Once she bonds with you, Annabelle is loyal and affectionate. She loves hanging out by your side, whether you're lounging at home or enjoying a stroll. While she may bark at cats, a confident cat who can set boundaries may be able to coexist peacefully with her. Annabelle has a medium energy level and shows dominant play tendencies—she’d be happiest with an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior and can give her the structure she’s never had. Annabelle’s Ideal Home: A calm household without young children A home with no other dogs or one very submissive, calm dog Someone experienced with small dogs and resource guarding A cat-free home or one with a confident cat who gives dogs space A structured environment with a consistent daily routine No fence required—she’s great on leash and enjoys short walks Ready to Make Annabelle Your New Best Friend? Annabelle is a work in progress but already such a gem. She’s smart, sweet, and eager to bond with her person. With a little structure and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into a loyal, happy companion.
