My story

Meet Lola Mae – A Tiny Treasure with a Big Heart  4-Year-Old | 4 lbs | Yorkshire Terrier Mix | Spayed Lola Mae is a gentle, delicate little soul who’s looking for a soft place to land. At just 4 pounds, she’s a quiet companion, in fact, we’ve never even heard her bark! She loves being held and snuggled and would be happiest in a calm, cozy home where she can feel safe and loved. Lola is currently pee pad trained and doing great with it. We’re working on helping her transition to going potty outside, and she’s starting to learn,  but as of now, she uses pee pads consistently. She doesn’t walk on a leash, so she’ll need some patience and encouragement if you’re hoping to help her get more comfortable outdoors. She’s been great with the two teenagers in her foster home, gentle, sweet, and calm. Lola also gets along well with other dogs, but if she’s in your lap and another dog comes too close, she’ll growl to claim her cuddle spot. It’s her way of saying, “I found my person!” Lola has had liver shunt surgery and now has a constrictor in place to help her liver function. She’s doing well post-surgery, but adopters should be aware that liver-related issues could return as she gets older. She’ll need a home that is loving, observant, and prepared to support her long-term health. Her ideal home would be quiet with a low-stress environment Someone home often or who loves lap dogs Comfortable continuing to work with potty training Other calm dogs are okay (just expect some lap jealousy!) Good with gentle, respectful kids , especially older ones or teens Willing to monitor and care for her ongoing liver health Lola Mae is a sweet, tiny girl with so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, quiet companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Lola might be the     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
