My story

Hi there, I’m Barky Buddy! 🐾I’m an 11-year-old Maltese–Chihuahua mix, weighing in at just 9 pounds of pure love and loyalty. With my soft white and tan fur and my soulful eyes, I’ve spent my life being cherished by one very special person—an amazing elderly lady who loved me deeply. Sadly, she passed away, and now I’m searching for a new family to share my golden years with. 💔❤️I may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step! I love playing, cuddling, and lounging around the house with other small dogs. In my previous home, I had two little pup siblings, and we were the best of friends. I get along great with other small dogs, though big dogs make me a bit nervous, so a home with smaller companions would be ideal.I’m great with kids and the elderly, and I’ve got that perfect mix of sweet and spunky. I’m quiet most of the time, but I’ll gladly sound the alarm if something seems suspicious—I’d make a fantastic little guard dog for someone looking for a pint-sized protector. 🛏️🐶I’m also house savvy! I know how to use potty pads and a doggie door, and I’m used to being able to go in and out to do my business or run a few joyful laps in the yard. I also love car rides and travel like a pro—windows down, breeze in my fur, big smile on my face. 🚗💨If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companion who just wants to be by your side and soak up all the love you have to give, I’d be honored to call your heart my home.
