My story

Hi, I'm Loki! The Norse trickster god of chaos I AM NOT! Unlike my name's sake, I'm a real chill dude. In fact, I'm 7, I'm grown, and I don't have time for that puppy nonsense LOL. I'm a mature man who is still very energetic and up for adventuring anytime. But with me, you don't have to worry about stuff getting destroyed, over excited behavior, counter surfing, and not listening. I'm fully housetrained and crate trained too! I know lots of training cues like sit, down, stay, place, and walking politely on lead. I absolutely adore tennis balls...maybe a little too much honestly; I can't be trusted with them alone because I forget they aren't food and will try to eat them. In my previous home I lived with babies, toddlers, young children, older children, teenagers, adult men, and adult women. I also lived with a few cats, which I was neutral with and kinda ignored...they're weirdos if you ask me. I lived with another male dog too, but unfortunately, he started picking on me and being really mean, so my mom put my best interest ahead of her own (she was so kind) and surrendered me to find a home where I will be cherished and not beat up on by my bro. I actually do pretty well with other dogs, but I can be selective and prefer calmer canines as I went through a lot of traumas with my brother in my past home. I did a TON of training in my prior household to help me work through some of my anxiety about the world. Yup, I'm kinda a big sensitive guy with an ooey gooey soft center. This can make me a little timid in novel scenarios. Like when the Amazon guy arrives or a plumber shows up...I will let them know I am nervous and do best when I am removed to another room and reassured everyone is okay. Even though I can struggle with my anxiety from time to time (really who doesn't?!) with gentle guidance and support I make really good choices and just need a calmer, patient home to help me adjust to my new life. I'm not gonna lie..I'll likely strongly bond to my family quickly and be the very best little (ok BIG) shadow you've ever had! Please feel free to come on down during our open hours 11-4 everyday with the exception of Wednesdays. During the summer we are open 11-7 on Thursdays! We are also available via email at info@nhspca.org! Primary Color: Black Brindle Weight: 36.8 Age: 7yrs 3mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Loki, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
