My story

DOB 18-Sept-2024 Celine is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. Celine is a sweet, elegant, polite, and shy girl! She has beautiful long black whiskers (and one white one), and a few white hairs on her chest and belly, but otherwise is all black. Between her and her siblings, she is the most timid and is easily bullied out of treats by her more aggressive siblings. She doesn’t meow a lot yet but is slowly finding her voice. She prefers to meow when you can’t see her :) Otherwise she’ll just open her mouth silently. She will do this a lot when she wants something as well (silently meow). She likes playing with all sorts of toys, and has been seen chasing her own tail which is very adorable. One of her favourite spots is by her foster parent’s feet, where she can cuddle up with them. Unfortunately she also likes to bite said feet sometimes, so watch out. She loves to nap in your chair behind you, and if she doesn’t think there’s enough room because you’re sitting too far back, or there’s another cat, she’ll make little mews complaining until you make room and give her encouragement to jump up. Once she’s there, she’ll rub the side of her face all over you and purr up a storm! As she had to take baths due to a medical reason, she’s not a big fan of being picked up right now, as she associates it with bath time. With more time, she should be more comfortable with being picked up. She likes belly rubs and will make air biscuits as you pet her. She knows the command “sit” and is trained to sit before she gets meals. She’ll try to be coy and “forget” but if you keep saying the word and she’ll treat you with a silent meow as she sits down (a form of protest?). Unlike her siblings, she has never had an interest in escaping her foster home. She is a very good girl! Celine is a beautiful, super sweet girl who will make a wonderful addition to any family. She may be shy at first but what’s inside that shell is an amazing cat! She would be thrilled to be adopted with Belle or Krokmo- or both if you’re interested in your own little clowder! Or to a home with a friendly feline.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Celine, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
