My story

Meet Darla!Darla is a 1-year-old shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a kind heart. She can be shy when meeting new people or navigating unfamiliar situations, but once she feels safe, she’ll win you over with her sweet and tender kisses. Darla is dog-friendly and enjoys playing a good game of “chase” with her canine companions. While she hasn’t quite mastered the bouncy, rough-and-tumble play style of some of her doggie friends, she loves their company and learns more every day. She also enjoys exploring the yard and relaxing quietly at your feet. When she’s excited, Darla may jump up to say hello, but she’s never overly pushy about it. She knows how to “sit” and walks nicely on a leash when she’s feeling confident. Loud noises can startle her (especially the dreaded coffee grinder!), so a calm home environment would be ideal. Darla hasn’t met cats or kids yet, so slow introductions are recommended. Darla is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
