Ella - Meet Ella, a beautiful, almost 9 month old and 60 pound, red, cropped and docked, Doberman. She has one floppy ear that only adds to her irresistible and goofy personality! Ella is very smart and food motivated. Since being in her foster home, she has learned sit and how to use stairs. She is working on stay and come and walks well on a leash with an easy walk harness. She is house trained and crate trained. In her foster home, she sleeps in the crate. During the day, we have started to leave her out of the crate and unattended in part of the house and she has done very well. She has not destroyed anything and either sleeps or plays with her toys. In the crate, she voices her opinion for a few minutes but then settles down nicely. She loves playing with toys and entertains herself with a bone or kong. Ella is a typical Doberman puppy with energy. She loves to be with her people and will follow you everywhere. She thinks she is a lap dog, and she loves to give kisses. She is dog friendly but can be a little shy. Ella's forever home should be committed to continued training and socialization to help her gain confidence in new situations. Because Ella is under 1 year old, DAR&E requires a fully fenced yard. If you’ve got patience, a sense of humor, and a soft spot for a big-hearted goofy girl with a floppy ear and a brilliant mind, Ella might just be the dog for you! Ella is fostered in MD. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues in areas not listed.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
