My story

Hi everbody! My name is Scout. I am a 4 year old Pittie but my foster mom keeps calling me a wiggly piggie, I think that means I am one happy little boy! I was handed around and abandoned, and eventually found my way to a kill shelter. Thankfully, Cross Your Paws was able to pull me when my foster mom stepped up! Despite my crummy past, I am still so loving and sweet!  I am learning how to live indoors and I don’t really like my crate but I am trying to be really brave and overcome my fear. Despite this, my foster mom thinks I would do just fine roaming freely too as I haven’t had any accidents or chewed anything up.  I LOVE my toys and I would really love to chew on some good bones. I am underweight so my foster mom is feeding me several small meals throughout the day to avoid me getting an upset tummy and let me tell ya, I love to eat! I love treats, too. I sit and lay down for treats. I don’t know any other commands right now. I am an adventurer so you’ll need to be careful and not let me jump your fence, I just can’t help it though it’s so fun exploring! My foster mom says I do great on walks and I just need some gentle re-direction  and correction when I pull. My only down fall is that when my belly rumbles, my toots will clear a whole room! But my foster mom thinks its funny and calls me stinky boy which I don’t mind. My foster mom has 2 resident dogs and 2 resident cats who I haven’t met yet but I am really excited to meet the dogs but please NO kitties! I think kitties are fun to chase but my foster mom says I can’t do that. I have a few scrapes that are healing up but I’ll be in tip top shape when they do!
