My story

How this pet arrived: Sasha was brought in by a community member on June 26, 2025. Why Sasha is the one for you:Meet Sasha, a sweet soul who's still learning the world can be a safe and kind place. Sasha can be shy in new environments and with new people, but once she warms up, her gentle and playful side starts to shine-especially around other dogs! She does great with canine companions and enjoys playtime with them. Sasha is currently underweight and receiving treatment for some skin issues, but with the right care and nutrition, she's on the road to looking and feeling her best. She is crate trained and knows her basic commands like sit, lay down, and "crate." She can get anxious when left alone for long periods, so a home where someone is around more often-or with a confident dog friend-would really help her thrive. Sasha is looking for a patient and consistent family with children over the age of 8 who will give her the time and space to settle in. If you're the kind of person who finds joy in helping a shy dog blossom, Sasha might be your perfect match. At SDHS:Sasha has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered.
