My story

Current Location: Lutherville Timonium, MD Meet Zelle Zelle is a beautiful young pup with a quiet charm and a heart full of potential. She’s working hard to adjust to new routines and is making impressive strides every day. With patience and kindness, this girl is blossoming into a wonderful companion. Energy and Personality Zelle is a low to moderate energy dog who enjoys daily walks, lounging near her people, and the company of other dogs. She can be shy and hesitant with new people but warms up over time. Once she trusts you, she’s affectionate and sweet-natured. Training and Behavior Zelle is now pee pad trained and well on her way to being fully house trained. She’s learning the difference between what’s hers and what’s not. She walks beautifully on a leash and recently completed a 2.5-mile walk like a pro! She is crate trained, sleeping through the night quietly after just a few days of gentle reinforcement. Zelle responds well to positive guidance (especially when cheese is involved!) and will thrive with continued patience and routine. Social Life Zelle has done well with other dogs, including a positive interaction with a neighbor’s small pup. She would likely do best in a home with another friendly small dog to help build her confidence. She’s still unsure of new people, particularly men, but does show improvement with slow, respectful introductions and consistency. Quirks and Special Traits Zelle’s quiet determination and ability to grow through fear make her truly special. She prefers soft encouragement and a calm environment. While she might retreat at times, she continues to show resilience and is learning to trust at her own pace. Best Home Fit Zelle will thrive in a calm, patient home - ideally with another small, confident dog. She needs a home that is willing to go slowly, give her space when she needs it, and celebrate the small victories. Her progress shows she is eager to adapt when given the right support.
