My story

Current Location: Alexandria, Va Meet Nala – The Sweetheart with Sass, Smarts, and a Whole Lot of Chill Looking for a best friend who’s equal parts cuddle bug, porch guardian, and goofball philosopher? Meet Nala, a gentle, silly, and wonderfully curious girl who just wants a home to call her own. Personality Nala is all heart. She’s sweet as can be, loves to cuddle, and greets each day with a wag, a smile, and sometimes a bark at the delivery guy (just doing her job, thank you). She’s a laid-back gal who enjoys just being part of the world around her. She’s content with a few short walks or a little playtime but is mostly happy to snooze, explore, and lounge like the queen she is. She’s independent but will absolutely seek out affection when she wants it - then you’re the lucky one. Companionship Nala is a social butterfly with excellent manners: - Dog-friendly - Kid-friendly – she met neighborhood kids and handled their excitement with calm grace - People-friendly – loves being included, calm with new faces - Cats – not yet tested, but she’s shown easy-going behavior around others Training & Manners This girl knows her stuff: - Housebroken - Crate trained - Leash trained - Knows basic commands like “sit,” “lay down,” “stay” (ish), “potty,” “food,” and “go” - Responds beautifully to correction—just a simple, “Nala, no” usually does the trick - ot super food- or praise-motivated, but she’s learning and making progress Nala thrives in a calm, loving home that follows a steady routine. She’s currently living with two adults and another dog and fits in seamlessly. She’d do well in a variety of homes - from a relaxed family setting to a chill solo human with a love for walks and weekend lounging. Ideal Home A yard would be a dream, but daily walks will make her just as happy. She enjoys fresh air and being outside, where she can observe, sniff, and feel part of the world.
