My story

Tilli was found as a stray. Her owner was found but was no longer able to care for her due to illness, so we welcomed this adorable floof to rescue! If ya know the Shih-Tzu breed, you'll know that Tilli can be very "Shih-Tzu"! Although she's got the cuteness factor going for her, she can have her moments of righteous attitude. Otherwise, she is a happy girl who loves to be carried and to pose for the camera! Because of this, she will need a family who has researched the breed and has the patience to work with her to adjust and rebuild her confidence. Her foster family is currently working to socialize her as well. She will need a family with no small children. She is potty-trained, but sometimes forgets that when she gets nervous. Her foster family has only had her for a couple of weeks, but has yet to hear her bark! We'll let you know if that changes! DOB 11/3/2020 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive.
