Hello out there! My name is Piwi and here's some more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Chihuahua mix Age: 2 year 6 months approx. Gender: Male Weight: 13.5lbs (6 kg) Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was living on the streets of a neighbourhood in Guadalajara for quite awhile before my rescuer found me. Although I was surviving and doing okay, I decided the street dawg life wasn't for me and so one day I 'rescued myself' by inviting myself into my foster's home (and never leaving)! Now I've gotten used to indoor living I'm hoping that I can find a furever family in Canada that will make me the luckiest doggo in the world by inviting me into their home! TEMPERAMENT - I am a VERY sweet and high energy pup who loves to be playful with other doggies (of all sizes) and people! You wouldn't know it by my size but I'm the alpha in my group and like to be in control in the doggy dynamic. This means sometimes I play a bit rough but I'm also good-natured about it! Amongst my human friends, I'm known for my signature smile (watch out Tyra Banks!) and my intense love of treats and alllll things food-related. ENERGY LEVEL - High GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Yes! I currently live with cats. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills as you can see here, however I may need some additional patience and training :) House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Car rides – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live. WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2446097##
