Meet Stitch—our fun-sized gremlin from the Lilo & Stitch litter. He may be the smallest of the crew, but don’t let that fool you—this kid is all puppy mischief, wrapped in a deceptively innocent, mom-lookalike package. He’s still figuring it all out—playtime, cuddles, and the fine art of not face-planting mid-zoomie—but one thing’s for sure: Stitch is cute, confident, and just unpredictable enough to keep you on your toes... in the best way. Stitch is 6 weeks and 3 lbs of pure puppy curiosity wrapped in a suspiciously adorable package. He’s part of our Lilo & Stitch litter. He’s the smallest of the litter, but he’s also the one most committed to making you forget that—usually by being underfoot, in your lap, or halfway up the couch when you swore he couldn’t reach it yet. Stitch and his siblings were born shortly after Noni landed in the shelter, and now he’s living his best life doing very important puppy things—like exploring every inch of his surroundings, nibbling on anything that doesn’t run away, and collapsing dramatically into your arms when he decides it's snuggle o’clock. Now, about his breed. We’d love to give you a tidy little breed label, but unfortunately, Stitch’s dad was part of a top-secret government experiment and is now off the grid. Authorities suspect poodle. Mom, Noni, looks like she might have a bit of Aussie or setter in her—gorgeous, graceful, probably good at herding toddlers. But then most of her pups showed up with curly coats, which led us to strongly suspect there’s a poodle somewhere in the mix. Stitch, however, missed that genetic memo and came out looking just like mom: smooth-coated, classic, and way too cute to question. Stitch is a social little guy who absolutely loves playing with his littermates—he dives right in, tail wagging, ready for fun. He may be the smallest, but he holds his own with all the confidence of someone twice his size and three times as determined to win the toy. He hasn’t been around cats yet, but with his sweet, curious nature, we imagine he’d either try to make friends... or sit there wide-eyed, trying to figure out what kind of fluffy creature just hissed at him. Either way, it’ll be adorable. Stitch is a total sweetheart with kids—he’s had the pleasure of hanging out with a 16-year-old and was instantly her biggest fan. He’s gentle, affectionate, and clearly believes that kids are just smaller humans with better snack options. We think he’d thrive in a home with respectful kiddos who are ready for a best friend with four legs and an ever-wagging tail. And at the vet? Stitch did great—calm, curious, and totally charming. No fuss, no drama—just those big eyes taking it all in, probably wondering when the treat cart rolls by. Stitch is cruising at a solid 5–6 on the energy scale—basically the perfect blend of “let’s play!” and “let’s nap right after.” If we had to guess his animal combo, he’s like a cross between a golden retriever and a stuffed animal that occasionally comes to life for zoomies and snack breaks. His temperament? Delightfully easygoing and playfully charming—like the kind of pup who wants to be everyone’s friend but won’t lose sleep if you’re not impressed. He’s the chill little dude in the background, quietly stealing toys and hearts. Favorite activities include: hoarding toys like they’re treasure, exploring every corner like he’s on a top-secret mission, cuddling like he invented it, and playing with his littermates with all the grace and subtlety of a puppy cannonball. Thinking about adopting Stitch? Wonderful. Just make sure you're also ready to sign up for the Puppy Starter Pack™, which includes: ✔️ Potty training, where Stitch will sometimes absolutely nail it... and other times forget entirely because a leaf looked interesting. You’ll become very familiar with the phrase “Oh no, not the rug.” ✔️ Leash training, also known as “Why are you putting this string on me and what is my life now?” Stitch currently thinks leashes are optional and mildly offensive, but he’ll come around—with practice, patience, and maybe a treat bribe (or six). ✔️ Socialization, because while Stitch is sweet and curious, he’s still figuring out that the world is big and full of strange things like vacuum cleaners, mailmen, and people who wear hats. He’ll need time, positive experiences, and a human willing to show him that new = fun, not terrifying. So yes—he’s adorable, but he’s also a baby with a lot to learn. If you’re ready to be his teacher, his cheerleader, and the designated poop-cleaner-upper, Stitch is ready to become your favorite little project. So, if you're thinking, “Yes, I would like to adopt this tiny fluffy potato disguised as a teddy bear,” great news—Stitch is currently accepting applications for his forever human. You’ll need to fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app, because Stitch refuses to go home with just anyone—he has standards. You must be willing to pick him up in Hutchinson, KS—no, he doesn’t do shipping, teleportation, or Uber Pet. And no, you can’t take him home today, even if your heart says yes. He can’t leave until around July 21st, and yes, he is worth the wait. Apply now, before he gets even cuter and starts charging a booking fee.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stitch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
