My story

(DOB: 04/26/2025) Due to Poppy Lee’s young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest, NC).  Poppy Lee is the sweetest pup you will ever meet! With a heart full of love for people and her furry friends, Poppy Lee is the perfect companion for anyone looking to add a little joy to their life. Whether it is greeting you with a wagging tail or sharing slobbery kisses, she is always ready to shower you with affection. Poppy Lee is not only a people pleaser but also a social butterfly! She thrives in the company of other dogs, making new friends wherever she goes. Speaking of which, Poppy Lee will require another playful, fun-loving, and energetic furry sibling in her fur-ever home. Her playful spirit is contagious, and you will often find her engaging in fun playtime sessions, whether chasing a ball or tugging on her favorite toy. Food is one of Poppy Lee’s greatest loves, and it is no surprise that she is incredibly food motivated. This makes training a breeze—she learns commands and tricks faster than you can say "treat"! With a curious mind and eagerness to please, Poppy Lee is always up for a new challenge. Make sure you add ongoing positive reinforcement training into your daily routine to build a solid foundation for a well-behaved adult dog! Finished playing and having completed her daily training sessions, Poppy Lee will be tuckered out, so you can rest assured that you will find Poppy Lee curled up next to you on the couch, dozing off peacefully. She absolutely adores snuggling and being close to her humans, turning any moment into a cozy bonding experience. Poppy Lee will need someone in the family at home the majority of the day; she is way too young and energetic to be left crated if someone is off to work all day.  If there are children in the home, they should be older since she is still a puppy and teething, nipping, chasing, jumping and all the normal puppy phases she will be going through are not a great fit for young ones. She hasn't met kitties yet, but most puppies adjust well to dog-savvy cats when introduced at a young age. A big, fenced in yard would be great and/or a lifestyle that has time to incorporate daily activities for her mind and body! Add to that, she is all but housebroken - working on it and she is doing very well! Plus, she is already crate trained and sleeps through she night snoring softly while she dreams of her next day’s adventures. As part of Poppy Lee’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required.
