My story

(DOB 10/31/2022) Willow is heartworm positive but don't let that stop you from adopting this sweet, beautiful girl. Our rescue will pay for her treatment and for that reason she will be local adoption (1 hour drive distance to Wake Forest, NC) while she undergoes treatment. Willow’s ideal forever family would have sweet kids who love to play and spend time with her, especially in a fenced-in yard. Willow is a true outdoor enthusiast, and if there are squirrels around, she’ll be in heaven, running after them; maybe one day we will see her tree climbing skills as she follows their trail! Willow also enjoys daily walks with her family and is pretty good on a leash and is learning to not pull when she sees those furry little critters. Speaking of fences, she’s got some serious “basketball jumping skills,” so she’ll need a solid, 6-foot tall fence to keep her safe while she runs around, romps, runs, and explores. Willow can be describe as a lovable and sweet hound with a gentle heart! While she’s a little shy at first, her kindness shines through once she gets to know you. Willow is the type of dog who tries her best to please everyone she meets and quickly becomes a loyal friend. She adores playing with her foster sister and would do best in a home with another friendly, happy 4-legged sibling who enjoys fun and companionship. Though Willow is still working on her potty training, she’s making fantastic progress. Sometimes, she gets so caught up in her excitement to play that she forgets it’s potty time too, but she’s learning fast. Willow is also crate trained and would love a family where someone is home often, but she’s happy to ride along as your travel buddy whenever you hit the road.  In the kitchen, Willow is eager to "help" – or rather, snag a tasty snack when you’re not looking! If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who loves to please, Willow might just be the perfect fit for your family. Willow is really as sweet as she is beautiful. She has a happy smile that is almost always gracing her goregeous face and joy that radiates love and kindness. She is such a doll and will make a family very happy! As part of Willow’s $300 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Willow, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2340230##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Willow, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
