My story

Dog Name: Guadelupe Breed: Mixed Breed Sex: Female DOB: May 5, 2025 Weight: 7.5 lbs. (As of 6/23) Medical Needs: Routine shots, as well as flea/tick/heartworm preventative meds. Spay must be completed by end of November 2025 and is scheduled by Grass Roots Rescue. Appointments can be requested for Georgetown, Dover, or Wilmington. We will request the appointment at the location most convenient for the adopter. Foster to adopt families must understand we are given dates and whatever date their dog is assigned by the clinic, is the date they are required to keep. Because the neuter is still pending, foster to adopt families must live within an hour of the locations listed above, and must be willing to travel there for the appointment. A required $75.00 check must be submitted by the adopter, which Grass Roots Rescue will hold and then destroy once the neuter is verified. House Broken: No, too young. Crate Trained: Guadelupe is accustomed to being penned with her siblings, it should be an easy transition to a crate. Good in Car: Too young Good on a Leash: Too young Energy Level: Normal puppy energy, all out play followed by sleep. Need a Fenced in Yard: No Dog Friendly: Yes, one of 10 siblings, additional dogs in residence. She is unafraid. If Yes, does your dog need another dog in its adoptive home? No, but she would love it if there is one. Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Yes If Yes, What's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with supervision. Puppy teeth are sharp, and they haven't learned not to use them on people yet. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Guadelupe is puppy #7. Her coat is a medium blond and the fluffiest of her litter. It's hard to tell at this time if that will develop into a longer coat. Like her siblings, she has white gloves and boots, plus a slender blaze running from her forehead to her piebald nose. Guadelupe is sweet and full of puppy love, she enjoys giving kisses and getting cuddles. Mom is a small brindle mixed breed, weighing in at 32 lbs. Dad is unknown, but there were a number of larger yellow dogs, both long and short haired, on the property where she was found that looked likely. Foster’s Location: Lewes, DE Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app) ##2398400##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Guadelupe, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
