Hobbes

My story

Hobbes is a 20 month old, male Goldendoodle weighing about 65lbs. He is new to GRRAND, but this is what we are told by our GRRAND volunteer: "Hobbes so far has been a bit nervous in his new surroundings at the kennel, but still a perfect gentleman. He's absolutely gorgeous; mostly Golden, but has Poodle wavy hair. I took him to the pool yesterday, but he wasn't too interested. We did go for a walk and he did well on leash. We are told he was a stray and bounced around to a couple of families and his medical history shows that he was hit by a car in October of last year. He was placed with a very active family and that was not a good fit for a dog who is fighting pain from their injuries. We are still learning about him, but we think he needs to go to a quiet, laid back person/couple with no permanent kids (responsible older grandkids may be okay). Our GRRAND Central Station pack of dogs have given him a loudy welcome and he's been non-reactive. We are going to give him a few more days to settle before introducing him to any of them."  Hobbes is crate-trained, and house-trained and slept in his crate at night and when things were too chaotic around the house for him.
