My story

*** Emerald is in a foster home. ***Emerald #19609: gray/black & white tabby, medium hair, sp. female, born approx. 1/1/24 Cats: okayDogs: unknown/possiblyChildren: gentle all agesBACKGROUND: Emerald was very pregnant when she was found near a police station. She moved into foster care where she settled right in and soon delivered seven kittens! PERSONALITY: Emerald, also affectionately known as Emmy, is definitely a gem of a kitty! She has such a chill vibe: a low-key approach to life and an ability to get along with everybody. She warmed up and made herself comfortable right away in her foster home. Emmy is a complete sweetheart, easy to pick up and snuggle, and she loves to be brushed. She loves people and will rub against your legs when you come home; when you’re busy, she’ll hang out nearby. While she doesn’t settle in your lap for lengthy periods of time, she happily accepts pettings. She has been in mom-mode thus far and hasn’t expressed too much interest in playtime, though if a wand toy comes within reach Emerald will snatch it as the kittens pounce around.COMPATIBILITY: Emerald gets along with other friendly cats though she hasn’t been interested in becoming besties or playmates. She is more human-focused and could be a solo kitty. Dogs are unknown though we think she has the potential to live with polite ones. She has been okay with the elementary-aged children she’s met, and if she is treated with respect would likely be fine with gentle kids of all ages. Look into her eyes and you’ll know how Emerald came by her name, but her inner beauty shines even brighter! Will you adopt this wonderful kitty?
