My story

At almost 11 years old, Cha Cha the Shih Tzu mix has earned the right to be a little selective with her affections. She’s fiercely loyal to her people and isn’t shy about letting strangers know where the boundary line is. Once you’re in her trusted circle, though, you’ll have a snuggly, sassy shadow for life. Cha Cha has a deformed back leg that gives her a unique strut, but it doesn’t stop her from getting around or asserting her opinions. She also needs daily eye drops to keep her peepers healthy—she's not a fan, but she'll tolerate it with a little patience and some post-meds praise. Due to her protective nature and occasional grumpiness, Cha Cha would do best in an adult-only home where she can feel safe and understood. She may not be the social butterfly type, but she’s got plenty of love to give to the right person. Cha Cha is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention.
