My story

Meet Freya! A graceful eight-year-old Domestic Short Hair currently living in Ocean City, MD, whose tortoiseshell tabby coat holds a world of gentle affection and soft purrs just waiting to be shared. Freya may start out on the shy side, observing the world quietly from her favorite perch, but give her a little time and a lot of kindness, and you’ll discover a true-hearted cuddle connoisseur. Once she warms up, this lovely lady transforms into a snuggle champion, happily curling up beside you at bedtime and greeting your days with her melodic, chatty meows! Yes, Freya is proudly vocal—she has a lot to say and loves being part of the conversation. At a full-grown and fabulous 20 pounds, Freya is a large cat with an even larger heart. She adores batting around little toy balls and chasing after catnip mice in those delightful bursts of energy that keep her young at heart. Her favorite pastime, however, is simply being close—nestled next to her caregiver, softly purring her contentment into the evening hours. Freya is spayed and vaccinated making her an easy and elegant addition to a calm and caring home. She's friendly with people—though she takes a moment to warm up to new friends—and is tolerant of other cats with proper introductions. Freya would thrive in a peaceful environment with gentle guidance and plenty of cozy spaces to lounge and watch the world go by. One of Freya's most endearing quirks? Her nightly commitment to sleeping by your side—like a furry guardian of dreams, she’s always there with her warmth and her heart. This sweet girl needs a loving family who will appreciate her soft spirit, her gentle companionship, and her unique voice.
