My story

Meet Demi: URGENT URGENT: Off-post home needed ASAP. Demi is feeling more anxious by the day and needs to find her forever home ASAP. Demi is an 18-month-old German shepherd mix. Already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, ready to go! Was relinquished because she was too high energy for her last family. With some regular exercise, training, discipline, etc. she'll just get better and better at everything! She loves attention and is good with kids. She might be a little rowdy right now for wee ones but she'd do well with older kids or someone willing to work with her on jumping etc. SHE DOES NOT DO WELL WITH OTHER DOGS. Demi was nervous at the vet office when she got some routine care the other day, but she still allowed them to do everything they needed to do. We did find out that Demi probably needs to be in a country or rural-type living environment, where there are no other dogs around. Other dogs make her extremely anxious, and she doesn't react particularly well in those situations. She is amazing with children and people. She really wants nothing more than to spend time with her human. At this time, we cannot adopt her out on post. This sweet girl just has a few quirks: People friendly, dog not so friendly. Perhaps with the right training, she could be the best of both worlds, but we unfortunately don't have those resources.
